Adjunct treatment of volume overload in heart failure when adequate response is not obtained with other diuretics (loop diuretics). Treatment of clinically significant hypervolemic &amp, euvolemic hyponatremia including patients with syndrome of inappropriate antidiuretic hormone secretion.

Product Usage

May decrease plasma levels with fluconazole and rifampicin. May increase serum lithium levels and toxicity. May antagonise hypotensive effect and increase risk of renal impairment with NSAIDs. Increased risk of hyperkalaemia with K-sparing diuretics (e.g. amiloride, triamterene, spironolactone), K supplements or K-containing salt substitutes.
