Used in the regular treatment of asthma where use of a combination product (long-acting &beta-2 agonist inhaled corticosteroid) is appropriate: Patients not adequately controlled with inhaled corticosteroids as needed inhaled short acting beta-2 agonist, already adequately controlled on both inhaled corticosteroids long-acting beta-2 agonist.

Patients should be made aware that Salmeterol and Fluticasone Propionate Pressurized Inhalation CFC Free inhaler must be used daily for optimum benefit, even when asymptomatic.

Ingredients

Each actuation delivers Salmeterol Xinafoate BP equivalent to Salmeterol 25 mcg, Fluticasone Propionate BP 250 mcg.

Warnings

Special Precautions: Pulmonary TB. Do not use to treat acute asthma symptoms for which fast and short-acting bronchodilator is required. Do not initiate during exacerbation or significantly worsening or acutely deteriorating asthma. Serious asthma-related adverse events and exacerbation; systemic effects (particularly childn and adolescents <16 yr at high doses) may occur.
