Serious and occasionally fatal hypersensitivity reactions have been reported in patients on penicillin therapy; clostridium difficile-associated diarrhea. Interactions: allopurinol; anticoagulant; bacteriostatic agents; beta-lactamase inhibitors; digoxin; methotrexate; oral contraceptives.
