Used in the management of hyperlipidaemia [hypercholesterolemia, combined (mixed) hyperlipidaemia (type IIa or IIb hyperlipoproteinaemia), hypertriglyceridaemia (type IV) &, dysbetalipoproteinaemia (type II)]. Adjunctive therapy in patients with homozygous familial hypercholesterolaemia who have some LDL-receptor function.
