The thought of inserting a tampon into your vagina may be nerve-racking. Before you insert it, be sure you wash your hands to keep any harmful bacteria on your hands at bay from entering your vagina. It may take a few tries, and if you’ve inserted it properly, you won’t feel that it’s there.
- First, hold the bottom of the tampon between your index finger and the thumb.
- Next, stand with one leg up or sit on the toilet.
- Then, ease it into your vagina with the middle finger. Leave the string hanging outside of your body.
- Push it a little further in until you won’t feel it. Remove it and try again with a new tampon if it feels uncomfortable.
- Wash your hands when you’re done.
