From phone cases to notebooks, no item has escaped the season’s marble makeover treatment! Inspired by the homeware trend, we’ve taken it one step further with a marble nail art look that will cement your style status in stone. See what we did there…?
What Will I Need to Create Marble-inspired Nail Art?
- White nail polish
- Makeup sponge
- Grey nail polish
- Black nail polish
- Cuticle/nail art sticks
Step 1 – Prep your base
Once your nails are filed and buffed to perfection, coat in white polish. Apply two coats so you have a block finish and no streaks!
Step 2 – Dab on grey
Take a makeup sponge and coat it in grey nail polish (spill out a splodge of product and dab the sponge into it rather than brushing it on to the sponge). Dab over the white base coat until you have a speckled finish.
Step 3 – Add contrast
Once your grey has dried, it’s time to take your talons into marble territory. Dip a cuticle/nail art stick into black polish and draw cracked lines all over the nail. The trick is to make each nail look different to strive for asymmetrical looks. Once you’re happy with the look, finish with a glossy top coat to seal and prevent chipping.
