Often simplicity is key with nail art. If you want to spice up the humble black nail mani, go for a statement nail and an easy to achieve gold band. Follow these steps and get the look in no time.
Step 1: Cover the nail black
After you have prepped and buffed your nails, apply a base coat and 2 coats of black nail varnish on to every nail except for the ring finger. Use a gold glitter nail varnish for the one you’ve left out.
Step 2: Tape it up
Once your nails have dried dry, cut out two small pieces of tape and stick them in parallel, making enough space to create a gold band.
Step 3: Create a gold band
Now that the tape is secure, fill the gap with gold nail varnish.
Step 4: Time to take the tape off
Take the tape off once the gold nail varnish has dried. If you want, you can use tweezers to be extra careful.
Step 5: Apply a top coat
Don’t forget to apply a top coat to make sure the nail varnish stays on for as long as possible. Et voila!
