Want to get rid of scarecrow-like strands without spending big on treatments at the hair salon? Jot down these DIY hair mask recipes (a hot trend in Korea!) below and add them to your beauty routine!

Recipe 1: 1 egg yolk, olive oil and 10ml milk

Avoiding the scalp, apply the mixture on damaged hair or the ends of the hair. Cover your hair with some plastic wrap and keep it in place with a rubber band. Wait for the mask to penetrate for 10-15 minutes, then rinse it out. Never rinse with hot water as it will cook the egg, leaving you stuck with egg bits in your hair!

Recipe 2: Coconut oil + pure yogurt (1/2 cup, expired yogurt is fine)

 

Have some leftover yogurt in the fridge? Don’t throw it away even if it is expired! Mix it with coconut oil and apply it to your hair. Cover your hair with some plastic wrap and keep it in place with a rubber band, leaving it on for 10-15 minutes before rinsing with slightly warm water. To further enhance the effect, gently massage your scalp while waiting to let the mask fully penetrate into the hair.

Recipe 3: Mayonnaise (2 tbsp) and oil (1 tbsp)

 

Tasty mayonnaise can be the ingredient of an excellent hair mask! Mix mayonnaise and oil, then apply it to your hair and wait for 10-15 minutes. You can cover your hair with a hot towel for better results. After rinsing, you will find that the mask creates a similar effect to the hair conditioner that you usually use!
