#1 Avocado & honey mask

This creamy superfood is packed with omega-6 and omega-9 fatty acids that are incredibly nourishing and soothing for your dry skin. You can triple up the hydrating effects by adding an extra bit of raw honey and yoghurt.

Ingredients

1 ripe avocado

1 tsp. plain organic yoghurt

1 tsp. honey

Steps:

  1. Mash the avocado with a fork.
  2. Stir in the yoghurt and honey until you form a paste.
  3.  Apply this mixture using your fingers.
  4. Leave it on for 20 minutes before rinsing off with lukewarm water.
  5. Pat dry with a towel.

#2 Banana & yoghurt mask

Packed with potassium, Vitamin A and amino acid, bananas can nourish and revitalise dry, flaky skin in a flash. More than that, this yellow tropical fruit is good for sloughing off excess sebum and reducing breakouts. Simply pop it on your face for plump, soft-feel, acne-free skin!

Ingredients

1 ripe banana

1 tsp. honey

1 tsp. yoghurt

Steps:

  1. Mash up a ripe banana.
  2. Stir in the yoghurt and honey until you form a paste.
  3. Slather on a thick coat of this mixture using your fingers, but avoid the area around your eyes.
  4. Rinse with lukewarm water after 15 minutes.
  5. Pat dry with a towel.
     

#3 Coconut oil & aloe vera mask

The saturated fats found in coconut oil can act as an amazing natural moisturiser, while aloe vera has a cooling effect that can soothe dry, irritated skin and boost cell production to achieve dewy, glowing skin.

Ingredients:

1 tsp. extra virgin coconut oil

1 tsp. aloe vera gel, extracted from the plant

Steps:

  1. Mix both ingredients until a paste is formed.
  2. Apply the mixture to your face.
  3. Gently massage with your fingers in a circular motion for 5 minutes and let it sit for another 15 minutes.
  4. Wash off with lukewarm water.
  5. Pat dry with a towel.

#4 Pumpkin, honey & egg mask

The natural enzymes in pumpkins can help dissolve dry skin cells while taming redness and inflammation. Egg yolk is an awesome natural ingredient to add in your face mask, if you have very dry skin.

Ingredients:

2 tsp. extra fresh pumpkin puree

2 tsp. raw honey

1 egg

  1. Beat an egg and mix it with fresh pumpkin puree.
  2. Add raw honey and mix well.
