A face mask has been our go-to after a long, stressful day at the office for years. But did you know there are lots of good reasons for using more than one? Multi-masking involves treating areas of the face with masks designed to deal with specific skin concerns. Confused about what should go where? Here’s the lowdown…
- Targeting oily skin
It’s midday. You’ve reached for your desk mirror to be met with a T-zone so oily your colleagues can probably see their reflection in it. If you’re prone to excess oiliness on your forehead, nose and chin, apply a mattifying mask to these areas.
- Targeting blackheads and clogged pores
If you’ve noticed a build-up of blackheads and pesky under-the-skin spots, charcoal is your new best mate. It draws out dirt and impurities, so apply a charcoal mask to clogged pores (commonly found on the nose) for a proper deep-cleanse.
- Targeting unevenness
Cheeks looking a lil flushed and skin feeling a lil rough? Apply an exfoliating and soothing face mask to help gently exfoliate skin by removing any dead skin cells and revealing a smoother, brighter complexion.
- Targeting dryness
If certain areas of your face are feeling dry and sensitive, apply a mask that’s designed to hydrate. It contains vitamin E, which helps replenish skin and leave it soft and smooth.
- Targeting under-eye bags
Eyes looking tired and puffy? Whack on some under-eye sheet masks, hun. They’ll smooth out fine lines and wrinkles, promote elasticity and reduce the appearance of dark circles and puffiness.
