To many people, T-Zone is the home to annoying skin problems. The t-zone is the central part of the face, comprised mainly of forehead, nose and chin. Since there are more oil-producing glands around that area, the t-zone is usually oilier than the rest of the face. And when these oil-producing glands mix with dead skin cells and bacteria, they clog pores and eventually cause acne and other skin problems.
If you have oily or combination skin, chances are you struggle with your t-zone a lot. Unfortunately, this problematic t zone skin is always the first areas that people take notice on. So it is necessary to take extra care to this area and diminish any acne, oiliness, and blackheads.
For those who have combination skin with oily t-zone and dry cheeks, be sure to use separate products for your t-zone and your cheeks. Always use the right cleanser. If you’re dealing with excess oil in the t-zone, you’ll need to use a cleanser meant specifically for the oily skin in that area. A gel or foaming cleanser works best to eliminate oil and clean out your pores. After washing your face, don’t forget to use a toner to treat your t-zone as it can get rid of excess oil and soothe your skin.
If you have oily skin with both of your cheeks and t-zone constantly oily and breaking out, use a gentle cleanser all over your face, then go over your t-zone with an anti-acne toner. You can use a toner twice a day after cleansing your face if your skin is very oily.
To keep your skin smooth and blemish free, use a facial mask that is formulated for acne or oily skin once a week. Masks that contain tea tree, clay, or activated charcoal in their ingredient is good for balancing face oil. If your cheeks tend to be dry, apply the mask on your t-zone only to ensure you don’t dry out your whole face.
