It is used for the treatment of susceptible infection including gonorrhea, otitis media, pharyngitis, lower respiratory tract infection such as bronchitis and urinary tract infection.

Product Usage

Adults
200 to 400 mg daily as single or in two divided doses. Doses should be reduced in patients with moderate to severe renal impairment.
For uncomplicated gonorrhea: a single dose of 400 mg is given.
Or as prescribed by the physician.

Warnings

Cefixime is contraindicated in patients with known allergy to the cephalosporin group of antibiotics. Cefixime should be given with caution to patients with renal impairment
