May be taken with or without food: May be taken with meals to minimize GI discomfort. Warnings

Patient with epilepsy; history of CNS disorders; G6PD deficiency; known prolongation of QT interval; with risk factors for QT interval prolongation or torsades de pointes (e.g. congenital long QT syndrome; uncorrected electrolyte imbalance; cardiac disease). May exacerbate myasthenia gravis symptoms. Kidney; heart or lung transplant recipients. Hepatic and renal impairment. Pregnancy and lactation.
