Used in the treatment and management of infections of the resp tract, middle ear, sinuses, eyes, kidneys &, urinary tract, genital organs, abdomen, skin &, soft tissues, bones &, joints, septicemia, infections in patients with reduced host defense &, for selective intestinal decontamination in immunosuppressed patients.

Product Usage

May be taken with or without food. Do not take w/ antacids; iron or dairy products.

Ingredients

Each tablet contains 500 mg of Ciprofloxacin hydrochloride.

Storage Information

Store at temperatures not exceeding 25°C.

Warnings

Special Precations: Epilepsy; CNS damage. Concomitant treatment with drugs that cause prolongation with the QT interval (eg; class IA or III antiarrhythmics; TCAs; macrolides; antipsychotics). Patients with mysthenia gravis. Tendinitis & tendon rupture. Photosensitivity. May affect ability to drive or operate machinery. Side effect/s: Nausea; diarrhea; inj site reaction; transient increase in transminases; rash. Uncommon: Mycotic superinfections; eosinophilia; decreased appetite & food intake; psychomotor hyperactivity/agitation; headache; dizziness; sleep disorders; taste disorders; vomiting; GI & abdominal pain; dyspepsia; flatulence; increase in transaminases; bilirubin; blood alkaline phosphatase; rash; pruritus; urticaria; arthralgia; renal impairment; unspecific pain; feeling unwell; fever; thrombocytopenia; thrombocytemia; confusion & disorientations; hallucinations; par- & dysesthesia; seizures; vertigo; visual disturbances; hearing loss; tachycardia; vasodilation; hypotension; transient hepatic impairment; jaundice; renal failure; edema.
