Prevention of atherothrombotic events in recent MI/stroke or established peripheral arterial disease. Patients with non-ST segment elevation acute coronary syndrome (unstable angina or non-Q wave MI) &, for patients with ST segment elevation acute MI in combination with acetylsalicylic acid (ASA). Prevention of atherothrombotic &, thromboembolic events in atrial fibrillation in combination with ASA.

May be taken with or without food.

Ingredients

Each tablet contains 75 mg of Clopidogrel bisulfate.

Warnings

Increased risk of bleeding due to potential additive effect w/ drugs associated w/ bleeding risk; w/ oral anticoagulants; warfarin. Injectable anticoagulants; glycoprotein IIb/IIIa inhibitors; heparin; thrombolytics; NSAIDs. Increased occult GI blood loss w/ naproxen. May affect platelet activation & increase risk of bleeding w/ SSRIs. Reduced drug levels of active metabolite w/ strong or moderate CYP2C19 inhibitors (eg; omeprazole); proton pump inhibitors. Increased plasma conc of CYP2C8 substrate drugs (eg; repaglinide; paclitaxel). Cross-reactivity among thienopyridines (eg; ticlopidine & prasugrel).
