Warnings

Sick sinus syndrome; acute myocarditis; renal failure Patients with heart failure associated with cardiac amyloidosis. Patients with severe respiratory disease. May impair the ability to drive or operate machinery. Pregnancy. Elderly. Sensitivity is increased with agents causing hypokalemia like diuretics; lithium salts; carbenoxolone; corticosteroids; Calcium. Digoxin levels increased by: Amiodarone; flecainide; prazosin; propafenone. Digoxin levels reduced by: Antacids; some bulk laxatives; kaolin-pectin; acarbose; neomycin; penicillamine; rifampicin.
