Used in the management of acute manic or mixed episodes associated with bipolar disorder, with or witho psychotic features. Monotherapy &, adjunctive in the treatment of simple &, complex partial seizures in adults &, childn &ge,10 yr. Sole &, adjunctive in the treatment of simple &, complex absence seizures in adults &, childn &ge,10 yr. Prophylaxis of migraine headaches in adults.

Should be taken with food. Swallow whole; do not chew/crush.

Storage Information

Store at temperatures not exceeding 30°C.

Warnings

Special Precautions: Monitor liver & clotting functions. Patients on multiple anticonvulsants; May affect ability to drive or operate machinery. Pregnancy & lactation. Children <2 yr; <10 yr & <18 yr. Elderly.

Side Effects: Headache; asthenia; fever. Nausea; vomiting; abdominal pain.
