Used for hypothyroidism (myxodema) & diffuse non-toxic goiter, Hashimoto's thyroiditis (Lymphadenoid goiter) &, thyroid carcinoma. Neonatal hypothyroidism.

Product Usage

Should be taken on an empty stomach: Take ½-1 hr before meals.

Warnings

Myocardial insufficiency or ECG evidence of MI or ischemia; DM or insipidus. Pregnancy & lactation. Elderly. Side Effects: Skin rash; pruritus; increased appetite; abdominal cramps. Interactions: Phenytoin levels may be increased. May increase the effects of anticoagulants & sympathomimetics. Carbamazepine; cardiac glycosides. Accelerates response to TCAs.
