Prophylaxis of neonatal ophthalmia due to Neisseria gonorrhoeae or Chlamydia trachomatis. Superficial ocular infections of the conjunctiva &,/or cornea caused by organisms susceptible to erythromycin.

Product Usage

Erythromycin ophthalmic ointment should be applied directly to the infected eye 4-6 times daily; depending upon the severity of the infection or as prescribed by the physician

Ingredients

Each gram contains: Erythromycin 5 mg in Mineral Oil and in White Petrolatum.

Storage Information

Keep tightly closed after use. Store at temperature not exceeding 30°C.

Warnings

Antimicrobial agents use may be associated with the overgrowth of nonsusceptible organisms including fungi. In such a case; antibiotic administration should be discontinued and appropriate measures should be taken. Erythromycin and its derivatives should be avoided in patients known to be hypersensitive to it; or in patients who have a history of liver disorders.
