Anti-Diabetic Indication: As an adjunct to diet and exercise to lower blood glucose in patients with non-insulin-dependent (type 2) diabetes mellitus.

Product Usage

Initial therapy: 1-2 mg once daily.Patient sensitive to hypoglycemics1 mg once daily titrated carefully. Max starting dose: 2 mg. Maintenance: 1-4 mg once daily. Max: 8 mg once daily. Upon reaching 2 mg dose is increased in not more than 2-mg increments at 1-2 wk intervals based on patient's blood glucose response. Monitor HbA1clevels every 3-6 mth.Getryl-metformin combination therapyAdjust the dose of each drug.Getryl-insulin combination therapyInitially Getryl 8 mg once daily. Start w/ low-dose insulin do upward adjustments wkly as guided by frequent measurements of fasting blood glucose.Should be taken with food: Take immediately before 1st main meal of the day.
