Used for the ,treatment of oropharyngeal &, vulvovag candidiasis, pityriasis versicolor, dermatophytoses unresponsive to topical treatment, onychomycosis &, systemic infections including aspergillosis, blastomycosis, candidiasis, chromoblastomycoccidioidomycosis, cryptococcosis, histoplasmosis, paracoccidioidomycosis, sporotrichosis. Prophylaxis of fungal infections in immunocompromised patients.

Each capsule 100 mg itraconazole

Store at temperatures not exceeding 30°C.

Warnings

Interactions with quinidine; dofetilide; pimozide; cisapride; HMG-CoA reductase inhibitors eg; lovastatin & simvastatin; oral midazolam & triazolam; Ca channel blockers eg; dihydropyridines (nifedipine; felodipine) & verapamil; antacids; warfarin; antimycobacterial drugs eg; rifampicin; rifabutin & INH; nevirapine; oral hypoglycemic drugs. Patients with risk factors for CHF eg ischemic & valvular heart disease; significant pulmonary disease; renal failure & other edematous disorders. Hepatic dysfunction. Discontinue use if neuropathy or signs or symptoms of CHF & liver dysfunction occurs. Do not use interchangeably with itraconazole oral soln. Achlorhydria may occur.
