Used for endocrine, hematologic disorders &, acute episodes of rheumatic disorders. Maintenance treatment of collagen &, dermatologic diseases, unresponsive severe or incapacitating allergic states, severe acute/chronic inflammatory ophthalmic conditions.

Each mL contains 40 mg Methylprednisolone acetate.
Storage Information
Store at temperatures not exceeding 25°C. Protect from freezing.
Warnings
Dermal/subdermal changes at inj site; previously infected/unstable joints. May increase susceptibility to infections; some signs & appearance of new infections; septic shock; latent TB or tuberculin reactivity; Kaposi's sarcoma; allergic & skin reactions; secondary adrenocortical & acute adrenal insufficiency; Cushing's disease; hypothyroidism; preexisting diabetes; long-term therapy may predispose to diabetes; psychic derangements; seizure disorders; myasthenia gravis; epidural lipomatosis with long-term use at high doses; cataracts; exophthalmos & increased IOP with prolonged use; ocular herpes simplex associated with central serous chorioretinopathy leading to retinal detachment; CV disease; CHF; HTN. Increased risk of developing GI ulcers with NSAIDs; nonspecific ulcerative colitis; peptic ulcer; acute pancreatitis; disorders of neuromuscular transmission. Renal insufficiency. Growth suppression & risk from raised intracranial pressure for infants & childn. High doses of corticosteroids should not be used for treatment of traumatic brain injury.
Side Effects: Infection; leukocytosis; opportunistic infections; hypersensitivity; Cushingoid; hypopituitarism; impaired glucose tolerance; alkalosis; dyslipidemia; Na/fluid retention; increased appetite; affective/psychotic disorder; increased ICP; convulsion; headache; exophthalmos; cataract; glaucoma; vertigo; CHF; thrombosis; HTN; hypotension; pulmonary embolism; hiccups; gastric hemorrhage; intestinal perforation; abdominal pain; diarrhea; dyspepsia; nausea; angioedema; petechiae; skin striae; pigmentation changes; pruritus; hyperhidrosis; osteoporosis; myopathy; myalgia; muscular weakness; irregular menstruation; increased ALT/AST & IOP; hypokalemia; -ve nitrogen balance; tendon rupture.
