Used in the treatment of primary skin infections: Impetigo, folliculitis, furunculosis, ecthyma. Secondary skin infections: Secondary infected dermatoses eg, eczema, psoriasis, atopic dermatitis, herpes, epidermolysis bullosa, icthyosis, &, infected traumatic lesions eg, skin ulcers, minor burns, cuts, abrasions, small lacerations, sutured wounds, biopsy sites, surgical incisions &, insect bites. Prevention of bacterial contamination of minor burns, biopsy sites, incisions &, other clean lesions. For abrasions, minor cuts &, wounds, the prophylactic use of mupirocin may prevent the development of infection &, permit wound healing.

Product Usage

Take this medication as directed by your doctor. Apply a small amount on the affected area three times a day for up to 10 days. Treated area may be covered with gauze dressing if needed.

Ingredients

Each gram contains 20 mg of Mupirocin.

Storage Information

Store at temperatures not exceeding 25°C.

Warnings

Avoid contact with eyes. Do not use at the site of central venous cannulation. Do not use in conditions where large amounts of PEG may be absorbed. Discontinue in case of sensitivity or severe local irritation. Side Effects: burning sensation; stinging or pain; itching; pruritus; rash.
