INDICATIONS: Type 2 DM: As monotherapy in patients inadequately controlled by diet & exercise for whom metformin is inappropriate because of contraindications or intolerance. As dual therapy in combination w/ metformin in patients w/ insufficient glycemic control despite maximal tolerated dose of monotherapy w/ metformin. As triple oral therapy in combination w/ metformin & sulphonylurea in patients w/ insufficient glycemic control despite dual oral therapy.

CONTRAINDICATIONS: Hypersensitivity. Active or history of cardiac failure (NYHA stages I-IV). Hepatic impairment. Pregnancy & lactation.
