INDICATIONS: Adjunct to diet & exercise as a once-daily combination therapy to improve glycemic control in patients w/ type 2 diabetes who are already treated w/ a combination of pioglitazone & a sulfonylurea; whose diabetes is not adequately controlled w/ a sulfonylurea alone; patients who have initially responded to pioglitazone alone & require additional glycemic control.

CONTRAINDICATIONS: Diabetic ketoacidosis w/ or w/o coma, NYHA Class III or IV cardiac status.
