Warnings

Precaution: Hypersensitivity to sulfonamides. Not for use in the management of hemiplegic; basilar; or ophthalmoplegic migraine. Increased risk of cerebrovascular event. Pregnancy Category D: There is positive evidence of human fetal risk based on adverse reaction data from investigational or marketing experience or studies in humans; but potential benefits may warrant use of the drug in pregnant women despite potential risks. Interaction: Live or killed vaccines; ribavirin; penicillamine; co-trimoxazole; ACE inhibitors; cimetidine; indomethacin; allopurinol. Interaction: prolonged vasospastic reactions with ergotamine. MAOIs; SSRIs; tiptans and SNRIs
