Partial seizures: Simple partial seizures (focal seizure eg, Jacksonian type, autonomic seizures, psychomotor seizure), complex partial seizures (eg, psychomotor seizure, focal seizure), secondary generalized tonic-clonic seizures (eg, grand mal). Generalized seizures: Tonic-clonic seizures (eg, generalized convulsion, grand mal), tonic seizures (eg, generalized convulsion), atypical absence (eg, petit mal variant). Combined seizures.

Product Usage

Adult 1-2 tab/day in 1-3 divided doses, gradually increased every 1-2 wk up to 2-4 tab/day in 1-3 divided doses. Max: 600 mg/day. Children greater than 6 yr 2-4 mg/kg/day in 1-3 divided doses, gradually increased every 1-2 wk up to 4-8 mg/kg/day in 1-3 divided doses. Max: 12 mg/kg/day.
